Join Canon Explorer of Light Peter Read Miller in shooting a diverse selection of Bay Area Sporting events. Events currently scheduled include the Santa Clara International Swim Meet and a Major League baseball game. Canon Live Learning and a Canon Technical Representative will have available the latest camera bodies and lenses for the participants to use.
Peter will share the knowledge gained from 35 years of shooting sports for Sports Illustrated magazine. The class will be informative and inspirational. Peter will cover basic action techniques, lighting and angles for shooting various sports and he will critique the student images and discuss editing and cropping of sports photographs.
The Canon gear we will provide for students to learn and experiment with will only further enhance the experience. As part of the workshop registration, students are able to borrow the latest Canon gear including wide angle to telephoto lenses and EOS 1-D X bodies to capture the action. The workshop will include classroom instruction, field demonstrations and group critiques.
The workshop is limited to 16 students so you will have plenty of attention and support from Peter and one of our highly skilled Canon Technical Specialists. Throughout the course, students will learn professional insights and techniques from Peter and have the opportunity to print 1-2 of their images on a PIXMA Pro printer.
