Imagine standing at a flawless Pipeline on the Pacific Coast, the proving grounds for the surf community… Camera in one hand, a pair of fins in the other… ready to shoot one of the most photographed waves in the world.
Surf photography requires a certain level of careful planning, hard work and a bit of sheer luck. Considered one of the best surf photographers in the world, Zak Noyle maintains a sort of formula for finding the best waves of the day by saying "it's all about being in the right place at the right time".
Join Zak for an intense 3-day hands-on surf photography workshop. This action-packed workshop will include a mix of surf photography on the beach, Canon glass and wave photography in the water using SPL housing. Representatives will have the latest camera bodies and lenses available for all participants to use. Students will have the opportunity to learn in a small class setting, limited to 16 people, to enhance the hands-on experience. You will be supported by the expertise and insights of Zak and assisted by a skilled Canon technical representative.
Come experience Surf Photography with one of the best surf photographers in the world, Zak Noyle.
Please bring your favorite camera, together with any lenses you want to shoot with (both wide angle and telephoto), plenty of charged battery packs and memory cards, a sturdy tripod (a must!) and a laptop computer for downloading images.
An understanding of your camera operations including manual mode using f/stops and shutter speeds is needed for this workshop. Basic Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom skills are helpful to process your images. This workshop is for all levels of photographers.
