As a professional photographer, protecting your images must be a top priority. In this seminar, we will explore and discuss the value of metadata embedding, copyright registration, image licensing, and protecting and pursuing your online presence in the Internet world of image theft. You will gain a basic understanding of the importance of negotiating proper terms in your contracts, incorporating image protection into your daily workflow, and preparing images for the registration process with the US Copyright Office. We will also discuss the importance of building a team of experts (legal, accounting, and artist’s representation) to ensure that the deals you make are as solid and binding as possible. You will certainly leave inspired and emboldened to take control of your images, and protect them using best business practices.
