Join Jem Schofield of theC47 for an evening workshop focused on lighting and shooting for HD & 4K productions with the EOS C300 Mark II. As resolutions in production increase (Ultra HD is four times the resolution of Full HD), the way you light your subjects becomes even more important. When your camera sees EVERYTHING, it’s your job to show your talent in their best light. While the light sources that you use in video production and filmmaking are important, it’s how you shape and control those sources that really make the difference. And, it’s even more important when you move from HD to 4K in production.
In this evening session presented by Jem Schofield of theC47, he will focus on using light to achieve cinematic results in both documentary & corporate productions (using small kits that don’t require large crews). This will also be an intro class to his full day “Plan, Light & Shoot with the EOS C300 Mark II” workshop that will take place on Saturday, February 6th at Canon Hollywood.
This class with feature the Cinema EOS C300 Mark II and will dive into using the camera in the real world to get the most out of it. The EOS C300 Mark II will be a part of the workshop so don’t expect lots of slide decks. This will be all about how to really use the camera with various lighting set ups in the real world!
The workshop is intended for producers, DPs, camera operators and aspiring filmmakers interested in lighting and understanding and using the EOS C300 Mark II and other Cinema EOS cameras in production.
Topics will include:
- How to create large, soft light sources
- Bounce, Block & Diffuse light sources quickly & effectively
- Understand and work effectively with different color temperatures
- Quickly set up and work with the EOS C300 Mark II
- Best practices for shooting 4K
