This collection of images was hand picked by Art Brewer out of his vast collection spanning over 45 years. Taking his first surf photo in 1967 and still shooting today, Art has amassed a collection of surf, cultural and landscape images from around the world. He is known as being at the forefront of underwater and surf photography with the most covers of Surfer magazine than anyone else. Creating a relationship with Canon early on in his career has given him the chance to test out new gear before it was on the open market and that has cemented his choice in consistently using Canon gear for personal and commercial projects.
Choosing such a small collection of photos to show was a true challenge. He chose the images that are burned into his mind. These photographs are well known for cutting edge style, composition and skills. If you would like to see more of his 45 years of work or purchase any fine art prints for your personal collection, you can view more images at www.artbrewerphoto.com or from his Masters of Surf Photography book published by The Surfers Journal. Also be on the lookout for a feature film documentary about Bunker Spreckels, Surfings Devine Prince of Decadence that is also a Taschen book. The film is called Bunker77 and should be released to the public in the next year featuring photography from Art's travels around the world with Bunker and his longtime girlfriend Ellie. Their adventures started on the Northshore and took them places such as France, South Africa and Beverly Hills.
