Beyond Technical, communicating effectively with your subject builds a strong rapport that opens the possibility of conveying the story you set out to tell with your camera. Your subject is human - it takes communication and direction by the photographer to capture a successful portrait. Have the opportunity to photograph a model within a simple studio environment. Focusing on the portrait subject and their human expression. We will practice interacting with your subject through verbal communication, demonstrating body language, etc. Throw that book of "poses" out of window, open your eyes and study the body language of your portrait subject. As a photographer, you're the designer - study and capture the subject that's before you.
What you will learn:
• Keeping the studio lighting setup simple to allow for human expression
• Basic posing of your portrait subjects
• Interacting with portrait subjects: directing, communicating, and establishing trust
• Simple approach = productive results
