Old Sacramento is the location for an awesome summer afternoon and evening of photography. Canon Live Learning Instructors Jim Rose and Dave Henry will lead this event.
We start off with a brief orientation about the photo possibilities in Old Sacramento and general photo tips. This will take place aboard the Delta King, a historic river boat that has been converted into a hotel and restaurant. While the Delta King is a photo opportunity of its own, Old Sacramento is a 28-acre National Historic Landmark District and State Historic Park. There are numerous photo opportunities including many historic buildings and shops and the California State Railroad Museum. Historic trains run on the hour on weekends.
After our first shooting session we will reconvene at the Delta King. This session will cover photographing at twilight and photographing fireworks. After that will be a hosted dinner at a local restaurant. The final shooting session will be fireworks shot across the river. This will be a great opportunity to sharpen you skills for the 4th of July.
