EF 135mm f/2.8 with Softfocus

A totally unique telephoto lens in the EF line-up. This lens is a sharp, conventional 135mm f/2.8 lens, which has the ability to apply deliberate spherical aberration to give varied degrees of soft-focus effect. As with any true soft focus lens, the key is that it lays softness over a core sharp image, so fine details like eyelashes in a portrait remain. This lens is an ideal accessory for the wedding and portrait shooter, giving them an option for outdoor or indoor images that's difficult or impossible to duplicate with filters or in the computer.

  • Excellent, sharp picture quality when no soft-focus effect is dialed in – a very useful medium telephoto for sharp available-light shooting
  • Soft Focus ring lets user dial-in two degrees of intentional softness; effect combines with user's choice of lens aperture to dictate final softness in image… strong softness at f/2.8, and none when stopped-down past f/5.6
  • Very useful accessory lens for wedding and portrait shooters, and potentially useful for commercial users as well
  • AF remains available, with or without soft focus effect dialed-in
