EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM
One of the longest-running lenses in the Canon EF lens line-up, the EF 28–135mm IS really is two lenses in one, in today's digital SLR world: for full-frame camera users, it's a very affordable and lightweight "all-around" zoom, with true wide to medium-tele zoom coverage. And mounted on a small-sensor body (EOS 60D, EOS 7D, etc.), the 1.6x "crop factor" essentially transforms it into a great lens for people shots, covering a zoom range from normal (about 45mm equivalent) to 216mm (film camera equivalent) at the long end.
- Cost-effective choice for documenting events; longer effective coverage when mounted on small-sensor cameras (EOS Rebel series, EOS 60D, etc.) makes it a pretty good option for medical and other documentary work involving people
- Image Stabilization in the lens provides correction for camera shake, allowing hand-holding at safe shutter speeds up to two stops slower than would be possible without IS
- Very affordable standard-zoom option for full-frame cameras, such as EOS 6D and EOS 5D series
